It seems like anytime I go to a Mexican restaurant when the server brings the food out to you they are carrying your plate with some sort of astronaut gloves and say “Be careful, the plate is really hot.” Then I always feel the need to see how hot the plate is and scorch the tip of my finger and have to use a napkin to awkwardly scoot my plate in front of me.
Do Mexican restaurants not have pots and pans to cook food in and have to use the plates? Would the food somehow be ruined if it was served on a room temperature plate?
Quit putting me in danger Mexican restaurants, give me a plate that wasn’t just flown in from the surface of the sun!
I too, have wondered why this only happens at Mexican restaurants.
Speaking of hot Mexicans….I’m sure Chuy rocked your world. Am I right?
You have confessed that you are “not a very good texan”, but had you had Chuy’s before? Is the queso not transcendent?
