The other day I was at the grocery store buying a Mother’s Day card, because that is the thoughtful kind of person I am.
I was almost out of cash and had to resort to using a $2 bill that I’d been carrying around for a month or so that I had received as change somewhere along the way.
The 17 or so year old girl working the cash register apparently had never seen a $2 bill before, despite claiming she had worked at the store for 3 years. She asked me if the bill was real, and even called over her manager to approve taking it as payment.

The lesson? – I’m not going to buy Mother’s Day cards any more.
Congrats on joining the self – absorbed – read – about – me – and – what – I – think club. It’s my favorite. We are a selfish group of boogers, we bloggers. No, for reals, it’s a good thing because otherwise we would not really stay in touch. Today’s my birthday, it’s a good one! Have a good one and I’ll add you to our blog…
